This has been the craziest off season free agency in the NFL in the many years. It's been a fantasy league in the past week with all the trades happening and the big time players being traded. Darrell Revis signs with the the jets for 5 years 70 million which was almost identical to the patriots offer to him except it was just three million dollars less than what the patriots offered which is ubsurd it just goes proves he is greedy and all he cares about is money after winning a super bowl in his first year with the New England Patriots in which will be the greatest football team he's ever played on with the best coaching staff and arguably the best quarterback of all time in Tom Brady. Another big deal that happened was Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks which no one expected, the Seahawks gave up max unger and two first round picks to get a top 5 tight end in the league when healthy. The Eagles out of every team have made the most bold moves and very questionable moves, trading Nick Foles for Sam Bradford who is coming off of two torn acls in the past two years trading lesean McCoy to the bills for kiko alonso who played for chip Kelly at Oregon but is also coming off a bad knee injury last season which ended his rookie season early playing for the bills. The Patriots brought back there best Safety in Devin Mcourty but lost Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis so they are going to need to either draft a cornerback or trade for one because as of now there very weak at that position losing both there best cornerbacks. It's going to be very interesting to see how these trades work out for all the teams who traded there big time players or traded for players who had season ending surgeries last year.
Tom Brady best quarterback of all
time?
Tom Brady is the most deserving
of this honor because of the career he's had and the six super bowls he’s been
to and has won 4 out of the six which is already tied for the most with Joe
Montana who is in the discussion with Tom Brady for best QB of all time and the
only quarterback in discussion for the best of all time. Tom Brady was also the
199th pick in the 6th round of 2000 NFL draft which is unheard of who would of
thought a quarterback drafted in the last round of the draft would has been to
six super bowls and winning four out of the six is crazy
Not only is Tom Brady the best
quarterback he's also one of the best when it comes to leading his team down
the field with two minutes left and leading them to victory. As he's done in
the super bowl two times. He's been the super bowl MVP three out of his four
wins which is another crazy stat. He also has arguably the best coach of all
time in bill bellichick who is the smartest and creative coach that the NFL has
seen in many years also helps that he has the greatest QB of all time.
The only comparable quarterback
that has comparable stats to Tom Brady and even those aren't even close he
blows him away in most of them. Tom Brady Won super bowl 48 by beating arguably
the best defense in the league in the Seattle Seahawks who's defense backs are
called the Legion of boom with Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and
Byron Maxwell and Tom Brady picked them apart like he's been doing to defenses
ever since he took over for Drew Bledsoe.
Now comparing Peyton Manning,
Aaron Rodgers to Tom Brady and Joe Montana is different because Tom and Joe
both have four super bowl wins and Peyton and Aaron both have one super bowl
win and aren't nearly as good in the playoffs as Tom and Joe were. Tom Brady
also broke Joe Montana's super bowl record for pass touchdowns in Brady's 12
touchdown passes to Montana's 11. Both quarterbacks experienced a lot of
playoff success, and many of the arguments made about them being the best of
all time are based on the way they’ve played in the postseason. Brady has a
better record in the playoffs, but Montana raised his game to a level that has
never been matched. Montana is sometimes given the edge for never having
lost a Super Bowl, but Brady’s 4-2 record in the big game is more impressive.
He’s led the Patriots to nine AFC Championship appearances, compared to
Montana’s six trips to the NFC Championship. Montana was a perennial winner,
but he led his team to 12 or more wins in just five seasons, something Brady’s
done on nine occasions.
Comparing Montana through 1990 to Brady
side-by-side, Brady has the statistical advantage in every category. Brady has
more passing touchdowns, passing yards and completions, a higher completion
percentage and fewer interceptions. He also has more wins and fewer losses than
Montana. In some of the categories, it’s not even close. Brady has 24 more
wins and four fewer losses than Montana. Brady has 58 more passing touchdowns
and eight fewer interceptions in over 700 more pass attempts. It’s unfair
to compare Brady and Montana without taking their eras into account. The
current NFL is a more pass heavy league than it was during Montana’s career, teams
average 11 more passing yards and two more pass attempts per game which is a
big difference even though it doesn’t seem like it would be because those extra
two pass attempts could be for a long gain. But Finally There’s no doubt that
Tom Brady is the best quarterback of all time with his four super bowl wins 12
touchdown passes in the super bowl with his career not even over and which he
seems to be getting better and better as he gets older which wasn’t the case
for Montana and no one will ever be as clutch as Tom Brady is when it comes to
leading his team back from a deficit. So Yes Tom Brady is the best quarterback
of all time without a doubt.
